Welcome
to another edition of Sunflower Seeds. Many of you have no doubt been
wondering, what is going on with Sunflower Auction and The Online Auction
Company? Well, to bring you all up to date, The Online Auction Company is
an eBay consignment business that I started in my basement nine years ago.
I put that business on the market a year or so ago, and eventually found a
buyer, namely Drew Hull of DJLC Enterprises, Inc. The business sale was
completed in February, and I have been working with Drew over the last several
weeks to get him off on the right foot. As such, the two businesses are
now two distinct companies. Per our agreement, The Online Auction Company
will be moving to a new location by the end of April.
The Online Auction Company will continue to conduct large auctions on eBay consisting of decorative collectibles, Longaberger Baskets, Precious Moments, Hallmark Ornaments, Hummel Figurines, Lladro Figurines, pottery, glass and all the other great items you have come to expect on eBay. Drew will retain my previous phone and fax numbers, so please make a note of my new contact info below. Please contact Drew at (913) 239-8622 to sell items on eBay or visit www.theonlineauctioncompany.com
Sunflower Auction will continue to conduct live gallery auctions and on-site auctions for real estate, estates, antiques and collectibles and business liquidations, in both live-only and live with Proxibid formats, in addition to traditional real estate listings. We will continue to serve clients nationwide and will continue to travel for the finest collections and estates. Our focus is currently on historical artifacts, militaria, firearms, coins, sports memorabilia, art pottery, art glass, antique dolls, antique toys and real estate.

Commission rates on large collections and estates are negotiable based on the quantity and quality of the items being offered and the amount of work involved in preparing the items for auction. Please contact us for an initial consultation. We generally charge a flat or tiered commission on each item, and the seller generally pays the advertising and moving costs. All commissions and fees are deducted at the end of the process, so you pay nothing upfront and we provide insurance coverage on your items while they are in our possession.
Of course, fees are really only half the story. We strongly believe that the most important factors that determine the selling price of an item are the knowledge and reputation of the seller. We earn our commission by achieving the highest selling price possible for you! Our research indicates that we earn most, if not all, of our commission solely from achieving higher than average selling prices
